Why these prices?
Two reasons: 1) every sermon evaluation costs real money to run in computing and AI costs, plus the ongoing cost of keeping the product alive. We've priced these tiers to be sustainable while still being meaningfully cheaper than the alternatives: a single Simeon Trust workshop runs $400+ once a year, in-person coaching can cost $200-500/month per pastor, and most digital tools in adjacent categories sit at $15-50/month.
The first 25 preachers who reserve a spot get 50% off for six months because they're betting on the product before there's anything to bet on. After month 12, founding members convert to standard pricing — but they keep priority support and a permanent founding-member status on their account.
2) All proceeds from this app will go toward serving my passion to see the global church strengthened and encouraged to fulfill the Great Commission. I serve as Executive Vice President of Global Training Network, a global nonprofit which trains indigenous pastors and planters in the Majority World. Visit us at gtn.org and chrisdaukas.net.
Common Questions
The details, before you commit.
What counts as one evaluation?
Submitting one sermon — manuscript, transcript, or audio/video with transcript — and receiving the full dashboard back. You can revise and resubmit the same sermon as a new evaluation if you want to compare drafts.
What happens if I hit my monthly limit?
You can either upgrade to the next tier mid-month (prorated) or wait for your next billing cycle. We don't auto-charge for overages — you stay in control of your spend.
Do unused evaluations roll over?
No. Each month is a fresh allotment. We considered rollover but kept it simple — the tool works best when you're using it weekly on real sermons, not stockpiling credits for someday.
What if the rubric doesn't fit my tradition?
The base rubric is drawn from a Reformed evangelical lane — Chapell, Simeon Trust, Piper, 9Marks. If your preaching tradition is different (Pentecostal, mainline, Roman Catholic, Word of Faith), the tool may not serve you well right now. Optional rubric variants for other traditions are on the roadmap. Email Chris before subscribing if you're not sure — he'll be honest about whether it's a fit.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. No contracts. Cancel from your account dashboard at any point — your subscription stays active through the end of the current billing month, then ends.
What about refunds?
Founding-member subscriptions come with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If The Sermon Coach isn't useful for your preaching after a month of real use, email Chris and you'll get a full refund — no friction, no defensive questions.
Who owns the evaluations I generate?
You do. The sermon you submit and the evaluation that comes back are yours. We don't reuse, sell, or publish your sermons or your evaluations. You can delete any evaluation from your account permanently at any time.
Will my elder board / congregation / supervisor see my scores?
No, unless you choose to share. Every evaluation is private to your account by default. The shareable dashboard URL is only viewable by people you send the link to.
Is this AI? Should I be worried about that?
Yes, the evaluation engine uses a large language model, but the rubric, the structure, the criteria, and the editorial standards are all Chris's work. The AI follows a detailed instruction protocol that took time to develop. Think of it as a rubric that runs at the speed of a tool, not a chatbot grading your sermon.
When does this actually launch?
The Sermon Coach is in pre-launch. We're running concierge evaluations for early reservists while we build the full automated product. Public launch target: Q2-Q3 2026. Founding members get full access the moment the product goes live.
